Integrated Coastal Management
ASR works with governments and communities worldwide to develop holistic Integrated Coastal Management solutions.
ASR believes that to maintain healthy and productive coastlines long-term, an Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) approach is needed. As such, we have developed a comprehensive ICM framework that considers the collaborative efforts needed to achieve a successful and sustainable ICM program. This approach centers on the principles of developing sustainable coastal societies through environmental protection, community development, and economic growth. We work to implement strategic sustainable plans to protect the coastal zone from natural and human hazards. We increase communication between private sector, public sector, and local stakeholders to enhance awareness and build capacity. Finally, we develop appropriate regional strategies and implement specific initiatives to improve coastal economic conditions.
